In the US, a major trend is converting offices into apartments —addressing housing demand in city centers, strengthening remaining office spaces, and revitalizing downtown areas that go quiet after hours. Could the Nordics be next? White Arkitekter’s June deep dive highlights this trend, along with the shift towards climate-neutral projects and its impact. If the US continues to lead, we might see a growing need for extra storage and climate control, with less emphasis on outdoor space, guest rooms, and smart home tech. Dive in to explore three fantastic residential developments in Sweden, a major conversion in Chicago, and our latest and greatest CGIs. |

Our solar studies go beyond ordinary technical analysis. Through high-quality renderings, we show how your building interacts with natural light during the course of the day. Each image retains the richness of detail from our usual architectural visualizations while clearly demonstrating the interplay between light and shadow. The result combines practical solar analysis with the visual quality our customers expect. We deliver both a short video and a set of images to be used in a slider of your choice.

111 West Monroe In September 2022, the ambition to revitalize the historic LaSalle Street Corridor in Chicago was announced. A joint venture between Prime/Capri Interests LLC. The Prime Group, Inc. and Capri Investment Group rose to the occasion and proposed a conversion of 111 West Monroe to a mix-use building that will house 349 apartments and 226 hotel rooms. |
On the ground floor, hotel guests will enter through the historic lobby off of W. Monroe St, with the residential entry located adjacent to the hotel entrance. A new fine dining restaurant is planned for the lobby and parking spaces will be built underground. |
Two floors will be turned into a world-class spa and fitness center, and on the rooftop, the original Monroe Club will be reopened as an amenity for residents and hotel guests. |
